Carissa won her first huge ribbon for her photography! Best of Division! Which is like Best of Show for her age group. Plus a 1st place ribbon. She took this photo, "Swan Lake", of a swan in San Francisco at the Palace of Fine Arts. She had to chase the swan around the lake and she got this shot when it paused to take a drink. When Carissa saw this ribbon, she raised her arm in the air and made a #1 with her index finger and said, "I'm a photographer"!
1st place for her image, "On the Road Again", taken with our IPOD through the car window.
1st place for her black and white image, "Palace of Fine Arts", taken at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
1st place for her image, "He Stole My Heart", of our dog Charley. She had this heart balloon she got from a street pedler at the Palace of Fine Arts and wanted to frame Charley in it. She was screaming, "Charley got 1st place".
1st place for her image, "Iris Spring", of a flower she saw on the grounds of the Palace of Fine Arts.
1st place for her image' "Peacock of Paradise", of a Peacock she saw high up in a tree at the L.A. Arboretum/Botanical Garden. Same location I took my "Eye of the Tiger".
1st place ribbon for her image, "Palace of Fine Arts", of the architecture of the Palace of Fine Arts.
1st place ribbon for her image, "Tree of Night", of a spooky tree on one of our hikes with the Crane Family up in the Vacaville hills.
