June 21 - Father's Day & Family Reunion

Howarth Park - Santa Rosa
The family reunion was for Scott's Dad's side of the family. We all had a great time visiting with our Uncles, Aunts, cousins, and Grandma and Grandpa from Utah. This park has a carousel, train ride, horse rides, and a beautiful landscape. I wish we had something like this in Vacaville.

June 20 - A Christmas Carol Train Tour

You can see the snow falling here if you click on the photo to enlarge.
There was a make-believe fireplace on the train. This was a make-believe Christmas Dinner from Scrooge too.
Out the windows, they made it look like London with snow falling.Last Saturday we went to the Disney Christmas Carol Train Tour at the Sacramento Train Museum. It was totally free and totally fun! We got to board the train and walk through about 6 cars. We saw the original costumes from the movie, concept art, models, maquettes, original artifacts from the Charles Dickens Museum in London, and very cool special effects behind the scenes sets of how the made the movie. They took each of our photos and morphed our face into Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and the Ghost of Christmas Past. We then went into a movie theatre and saw about 15-20 minutes of the movie in 3D. It was so awesome. Outside, they had light posts around the train tracks and theatre that had snow coming out of them. The train tour is going all over the US.

June 15 - Discovery Kingdom

My Girls Love the Characters
Bryan & Anthony, well...not so much! LOLThis is the ride I found Maia on.
Don't look for her, she's having a time out.

Carissa & Bryan are on this ride together.Another fun day at Six Flags. With a season pass, we are there at least a couple of times a month. We went this day with my sister-in-law, Stacie and her kids, Bryan and Anthony. I had a good scare with Maia. I was belting in Anthony into his stroller when I noticed Maia was nowhere in sight. I walked around to the next set of rides and found her riding on a ride! She had the biggest smile on her face as she was waving to me saying, "Look at me Mommy"! Her smile quickly turned upside down soon after. I'm just glad she was safe. Carissa absolutely loved how Maia was in trouble and still can't stop talking about it.

June 14 - Carissa & Maia's 1st Giants Game!

June 14 - Carissa & Maia's 1st Giants Game!

Giants Vs. Oakland A's
It was a beautiful day at AT&T park. Scott bought the girls Giant's jersey's and hats. He bought me a hat and a Matt Cain shirt (Cain was pitching that day). The giants won! Score was 7 to 1.

Best Friends - June 11

After swim lessons one day, Hailey came over to our house to play. They came inside from the backyard to show me they picked these flowers and put them in their hair. It was so darling I had to take some pictures.

Romeo & Juliet - Our First Family Pet

Romeo in his tankWhen we went to the Dixon May Fair last month, both Carissa & Maia won a fish in a ball toss. We brought them home in a little tiny tank. I thought it was too inhumane, so $100 later, we had a 5 gallon tank. Who knew winning some fish at a fair would be so expensive. Juliet lived only one week. We believe Romeo killed her by starving her. Romeo didn't really like Juliet. She would follow him everywhere and he would try to swim away from her. Now that she's gone, he swims everywhere and is so happy. He even grew in size. The tank is in their room and they love Romeo. Carissa said, "I love Romeo right in my heart and I will always love Juliet right in my heart - I'm sad that she died." Maia said, "Goldfish don't live a long time. It's a good thing Jesus died for us so that people can live a long time because it's sad when people die."

Swimming Lessons - May 12 - June 18

Carissa, Maia, & Hailey
Cute Photo of HaileyMaia Swimming
Carissa Swimming
Maia and Carissa were in swimming lessons at Millennium Sport Club. They had eight 1/2 hour sessions 2x a week starting on May 12th. On May 28, Carissa swam by herself for the 1st time doing the breast stroke completely under the water. She said, "Mommy, I don't need swim lessons anymore because I know how to swim." Maia had one week in May where she cried every time during swim lessons and wouldn't put her face underwater, so I was getting worried because semi-private lessons aren't cheap. However, on June 9th, Maia swam by herself for the 1st time doing breast stroke too. She then surpassed Carissa by diving into the water by herself. I'm so proud of them. They took lessons with their best friend, Hailey.

Discovery Kingdom - May 22

My Mom was in town for Scott's birthday party, so we went to Discovery Kingdom because Radio Alice was there. It only cost $9.73 to get in that day. Of course I upgraded to season passes for only $25, which is an awesome deal. I love all the shows and the butterfly garden. I posted some butterfly photos on my photo website, under Art Prints if you want to check it out. Maia and Carissa had a great time, especially with Grandma.
