Today was my last day of personal group training with my instructor. I have a strong core, so my instructor challenged me by positioning her body on top of me (she is completely on top of me - her feet are not touching the floor). She's a 170lbs! Most of the girls you see in the photo can only do between 5-10 lbs. I owe it to Yoga & Pilates. Too bad a strong core doesn't correlate 6 pack abs. We did it twice to make sure I got a good picture of it.
I've had car problems, so in switching between my car and Dad's car, I didn't transfer the garage door opener into the right car. In addition, I somehow didn't transfer our front door key either from 2 months ago back onto my key chain (I go through the garage and not the front door). So that left me locked out of the house today after coming home from swimming. I tried to jump the fence to access entry from the back of the house (spare key in the back), but the fence was too high. Carissa told me to be careful. Then she ran to the driveway and cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted as loud as she could, "Help! My Mommy Needs Help! Help Us!" It was funny. Luckily my neighbor was home and I used one of her chairs to prop myself over the fence (I ended up scraping my nice shoes). Sorry, no funny photos of Carissa yelling or me hauling the fence.
Laurie took me out to Dinner at Panera (belated b-day present) and then we went to the movies to see "17 Again". Both our husbands were out camping for Boy Scouts for the weekend. So we thought it would be fun to have a girls night out. Thanks Laurie for arranging babysitting and for the fun night!
Daddy was working at the Oakland Museum, so we thought we would visit him on his lunch break and enjoy the museum too. Grandma Larsen went with us too. It's not the best museum I have ever been to, but the girls really enjoyed it. We got to see Daddy in action on the roof!
For those of you who read about my phone mishap, I'm happy to say that after 3 days of drying the phone it is working perfectly! I won't make that mistake again.
Check out their added tour dates on Ticketmaster.com! Hurry! Last year's show sold out in 2 minutes!
I'm watching Hailey today at our house. Who needs toys? They played with it for an hour! It was a boat and a train.
If you call our house and you hear something that sounds like the ocean, it's just our phone. I had one of those clumsy days yesterday. I was on the phone when Maia needed "wiping". I tried to snug the phone between my neck and shoulder and it slipped down into the toilet. Luckily, I always do a flush before wiping. It's still gross to have it in the toilet and worse that I ruined it! We are attempting to dry it out and hoping it will be functional again. I usually have my headset on when multitasking, but this was one of those unplanned (clumsy) moments. Good thing I have a handy husband who knows how to take things apart and put things back together.

Marlina invited us to the skate park on base today. It was a nice 85 degree sunny day! Carissa & Maia had fun with their best friend, Hailey. See the half pipe in the background? Carissa decided to climb to the top to slide down (she saw Maia do it) but cried hysterically when she got to the top. She was afraid to come down. Luckily a little girl in the park rescued her by gently pushing her down.
It wasn't really bring your daughter to work day, especially at a major construction sight! We went to visit Scott at his location of the week, UC Berkeley. Scott showed me around (the girls couldn't go into building - way to dangerous). The building was used in the 60's. So you can imagine all the strange, drug induced poetry and paintings all over the walls and ceiling of this place. We walked down the street and had a nice lunch together. It was fun. We plan on doing it again next week at his new location, Oakland Museum.
