♥ Valentine's Day! ♥

My girls had a fun Valentine's morning. Daddy left all three of his girls love notes in our mailboxes. He also gave us each a chocolate rose. They got heart earrings and a new Beanie Boo (Carissa is in love with these stuff animals...her dream is to have the whole collection) . I made them pink valentine pancakes. Yes... were were late for school today. It was worth it ♥!

We had a wonderful elegant dinner at home with Carissa & Maia. We had lobster and steak, fresh green beans, brown rice, marinated mushrooms (courtesy of our neighbors), cherry 7-up, and chocolate dipped fruit.

Garage Sale

We had a garage sale today from 6am-11. Can you believe we had a crowd of people at 5:30am? They had flashlights because it was dark! We made $561 just selling odds and ends (this is how we declutter our house each year). The girls made $21 selling lemonade and cookies. Their friends Hailey and Danielle visited and helped sell some too. We are all tired!

Maia & Carissa's baptism is coming up. We are so excited! I'm really happy with how their invitations turned out. It's a 5x5 accordion tri-fold card printed on pearl press paper. Images and card design by me.

Maia at School

Today Maia got to read to a kindergarten class of her choice and she got to sit at her teacher's desk all day for being one of the highest ranking Accelerated Reader students in her class. She loved it!

Carissa at School

Last Thursday Carissa got to sit at her teacher's desk all day for being one of the highest ranking Accelerated Reader students in her class. She was also given the choice to read to a Kindergarten class of her choice but was too shy. Sitting at the teacher's desk was super cool for her! She picked out a special outfit and earrings to wear for the occasion.

Christmas Vacation Highlights

Photos from our trip in LA at my parents' house over Christmas Break. Some of the fun places we went to was Lake Shrine (a meditation garden/temple where the Beatles use to go), and Balboa Beach Island (Newport Beach). As we were leaving Balboa Beach, we came across this cool pirate ship that really sails. There were actually two ship and we go to go on both for free! Very cool! We also went to the LA Arboretum/Botanical Gardens (this is where the show, Fantasy Island was filmed). I got at least 2 great shots I'm going to use for photo contests this year. We also visited my High School friend, Mary Lou and her husband Manny and had a play date with our dogs at the park. It was a very fun vacation!

Vacaville Hills Hiking

Beautiful day in Vacaville...66 degrees in January! We went on a hike with my friend Susan and her family. We took Charley too! My camera battery was dead but luckily Carissa and Maia had their little cameras. Carissa took these top two photos. Maia got some nice shots that look great in black and white. They have some nice images for the Dixon and County fair.

1st Playdate of 2012!

Sporting shirts they got for Christmas, they had their first playdate of the year. They haven't seen each other for over 3 weeks, which is a long time for BFF's. They have been together since 12pm and will be together until tomorrow morning (sleep over). That's about 22 hours!

Happy 3rd Birthday Charley!

Celebrated Charley's 3rd Birthday Party on New Year's Day at my parents house! We made him a peanut butter dog biscuit cake. For a present he got a water bottle that has an attached drinking tray for dogs. This is his favorite day of the year! You can see it in his eyes as he devours his cake.
