I'm also excited to announce that Emma Close To Home Magazine did a full spread on the awards Carissa, Maia, and I won at the Dixon May Fair in their July/August issue. They were considering my Bubble Photo for the cover of their magazine, which was exciting too. The orientation (horizontal) is too difficult to have on a cover that is vertical.

May 31 - Cousin Tammy

My cousin Tammy (from my Dad's side) came up from San Diego for Memorial Day weekend to visit family/friends in SF. We met up with her and her boyfriend Troy in Emeryville at the outdoor mall. I enjoyed meeting Troy and visiting with Tammy. She has always been and always will be my sweet cousin. I'm so glad to see her so happy and successful.

May 29 - Look! No Training Wheels

I remember last summer when their cousin Karianne started riding her bike without training wheels. I thought that was amazing! She's the same age as Carissa & Maia, just a few months younger. My girls had the motivation to learn this year. I told them if they learned to ride without training wheels I promised to buy them a new bike. The bikes they had were only about a 5" wheel, given to them when they were 2. The bike shown here is borrowed from our neighbor's house. It's about a 10" wheel. It was perfect for learning. To my surprise, it only took 3 days before they were zipping around the park parking lot. I got them new bikes that night. 16" wheels from Toys R Us. That's really the only place you can find that size. They aren't tall enough for a 18". I'll have to post new photos of them on their new bikes soon.

May 8 - Dixon May Fair

The girls entered lots of different categories at the fair and won lots of 1st place ribbons. The biggest surprise was when we discovered that Carissa won Best of Show for her Barbie collection, "Meet Me At The Ball". I won some cool ribbons too, along with a Best of Show. Last Day In Ballet - May 5

Carissa & Maia took Ballet lessons this year. It was getting to be too expensive for our budget. Also, Carissa & Maia don't seem to enjoy it as much as they did in the beginning. They took a picture with their teacher, Ms. Cassey and their best friend Hailey who is in their class.

Pleasant Valley Iris Farm in Vacaville - 5/4

I was watching Hailey that day, so I thought it would be fun to take a drive over to the Iris farm. I had never been there before. They have over 400 varieties of Iris'. The girls had more fun playing with the farm dogs then looking at the flowers. Owning a dog has made Carissa & Maia into real dog lovers.

Holly & Scotty - 4/24/10

We met Holly and Scotty on our Caribbean cruise we went on in Dec. for our 10 yr anniversary. They are so much fun! They just got married and decided to have their honeymoon in SF.
We met them one night in SF and went out to dinner. They spent 2 of the nights at our house. We took them to some wineries, Armstrong Redwood Forest, and Goat Rock Beach. We were sad to see them go home. They live in Texas!

Braeden & Jaxson's Bday - 4/23/10

Mark & Stacie came out to visit us for adoption stuff they had to do. The adoption is still not final. It's going on 3 years now! Braeden is no 4 and Jaxson is now 3. Unbelievable!
