Scott's cousin, Josh and his wife Donna met us at the Joshua Tree concert. 
The band played for 4 hours. I love this band.
Carissa and Maia made him cards and gave him tickets to a Giants game! I can't wait until we all go. It will be their first Giants game. Scott wants to buy them pink Giants hats and jerseys.
Susan and her daughter, Robyn invited us to Fairytale town. It was a perfect day because it wasn't cold or hot. We had a fun time. We stayed for just a couple of hours.
Before leaving for Vegas, Scott's parents took us out to dinner at Chevy's for Scott's 30th birthday.
We took the girls the Dixon May Fair a couple of weeks ago. They had a great time. They won their first pet: 2 goldfishes (Romeo & Juliet). Sadly, Juliet died 1 week later. Romeo is still alive (we think Romeo killed her by hogging all the food). We also took a picture with Emma (of Emma Magazine) who had a booth there.
Scott made the three of us pretty corsages made from flowers from our very own garden for Mother's Day.

After coming home from Monterey, we had 30 minutes to rinse off the sand from Carissa and Maia's body and give instructions to our babysitter (Heidi) before driving off to the Chris Isaak concert at the Dixon May Fair. After about 40 minutes into the show an undercover security guy approached me and said, "You can't have a big camera like that here. If I see you take another picture, I'm going to take your memory card from you." I was irritated because people are allowed to bring a camera. The rules didn't specify a size! Besides, my telephoto zoom lens is only 300 mm with a F-stop of only 4-5.6, which means I can't get that great of pictures because I was in the general admission way, way in the back. The guy obviously knows nothing about cameras. After he walked away, I put my camera in manual mode (so the flash wouldn't pop up) and took about 100 more pictures.
For Mother's Day weekend, Scott took the girls and I to Monterey. We stayed at the Best Western Beach Resort on Sand Dunes Drive. It was nice because it's the only hotel right on the beach that I know of. We got a good discount through Costco.com. You step out of your hotel room and it's only 10 steps to the beach sand. It was nice to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean waves. It was Carissa and Maia's first hotel experience. They were very giddy that night when it was time for bed. We were wishing they were in a separate room. I took over 400 photos! I have no idea which ones are my favorite yet. It will take me 8 hours to go through them. Here is a couple. We were invited to Macie's 6th birthday party (daughter of our friends, Stacie & Matt). It was a Fancy Nancy theme, so we did our best to dress the part.
